Broadband access to the Internet is available from many providers, and the market for broadband provision has many pricing structures, features for money and levels of service.
Most providers supply broadband connections across the BT copper circuits connected to the “normal” phone network. Some providers, usually large home user telephone providers offer cable connections.
From the point of view of business users, most will have the PSTN copper wire phone circuits in place. This makes it more likely that broadband access will be by using these circuits.
A key decision needs to be made: will a business get its telephone access from one company, its Internet access from another, its web domain and email access from a third, or does it make more sense, both in terms of service and reliability and also in terms of overall cost to have a single professional provider.
